Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship♪ ERIC: Red Rocks was- there's so much there, that the venue itself, I mean it's a cathedral, it's- it's- it's a church, it's unbelievable.
When I go into a show like that, I had the first couple three songs road-mapped, and then I don't have much, and I'm starting to kinda talk my way through it, or call people up.
And after I'm there I kinda let the show develop.
I enjoy that, because it's a tightrope.
It's a- when you walk out there acoustic in a situation like that, it'll scare you a little.
And I don't get scared a whole lot.
When that happens, I know that it's probably gonna be a pretty good show, because there's a little bit of an element of danger there, that I don't know what's gonna happen.
The fact that it may not work is what intrigues me about it.
It's up to me to trust the music, and to trust the people listening to the music to make it work, and if that happens, and it has every time, always does, well it's magical.
