Worm Watch

Special | 9m 23s

A profile on an unexpected invasive species in Wisconsin's northwoods, the earthworm.

The beloved earthworm may be bad news for our forests. Seven different species of European earthworms were brought over in the last century by our European ancestors who wanted the worms for their farms. Over the years, the slow-moving earthworm has invaded much of the northwoods. The results are devastating for native plants and could cause big problems for our woods and timber industry.
